Bible Problem: Why Does Job 12:6 Say that God Prospers Robbers?

Bible Problem: Why Does Job 12:6 Say that God Prospers Robbers?

Problem:

Job 12:6:

The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth abundantly.

If God is a just and Holy God, how can Job 12:6 be true?

Solution:

Job is speaking in the verse, not God. Job was going through an extremely difficult time of testing in his life. He was upset and sarcastically made this statement in Job 12:6.

God does not bless robbers or secure those who provoke him.
