Ayahuasca and San Pedro Hallucinogens Destroy Marriages

This is an email I received from a woman who began to have marital problems with her husband once he started taking the Ayahuasca and San Pedro brews. She wrote to me because I used to take both Ayahuaca and San Pedro here in Peru until I discovered how harmful they are.

Here is her email:

Hello Thomas,

I found your article on the internet as I have been researching for many years the very subject you wrote about in 2012.

I am just seeking some help and guidance, as in 2011 my now ex-husband ended up exploring Ayahuasca and subsequently San Pedro. Shortly after he began using the plant medicine he became obsessed with learning about it and eventually he started brewing and ended up running many ceremonies in our home for years till April this year.

Our marriage began to fall apart soon after he started using Aya, and I eventually began to display unusual behaviour where I was progressively becoming more depressed, and eventually isolated and aggressive. He began to withdraw more and I became more insecure. I at the time was conducing many Sound Healing events as i had been working with sound as a healing tool for over 20 years. Till 2011 I had done a lot of work, and achieved many wonderful creative endeavours as an inspirational speaker, and artist mainly healing work.

In any event our relationship deteriorated in October last year and eventually in April this year I walked out of the marriage needless to say it was not and has not been an easy ride.

I ended up getting some help some months ago with a Christian pastor who reckoned I was contaminated with evil spirits which I believe were attacking me within the relationship possibly from his side. He changed from being a kind and loving man to becoming arrogant, demeaning, condescending and paranoid, blaming me always of all issues, including our separation.

It is now a difficult situation even though we are separated, he is using many tactics some very subtle like ignoring, stone walling, and also aggression if I ever approach him. We have a child together and I have been trying to harmonise the situation for my son’s sake, and his relationship with his father.

I am looking for some insights and help to better understand how to deal both with him and myself. Are you able to offer me some guidance and help in this matter?

Many years ago I did a lot of reading on Aya and whilst I was trying to support him everything I found was not supportive of the use of Ayahuasca, of course when I shared this with him he used to get very angry with me, and told me that I was trying to control him and manipulate him.

I spent many years in the New Age movement and recently found Christ and the Word of God in the Bible, I must admit it has change everything i have learnt for 27 years, It almost feels like a total eclipse of knowledge which was useful at the time but seems to be redundant now.

Hope you can help me somehow. Your article was very helpful already so thank you for taking the time to write it.

God Bless You

Here is my response to her:

Hi,

I am thrilled that you have found Jesus. He is the way out of the troubles our involvement with the New Age has caused us.

It seems to be common that Ayahuasca will try to get the practitioner to leave his or her spouse. It tried to get me to leave my wife, stating that she was holding me back and not letting me develop spiritually, etc.

When someone does Aya they literally have spirits enter their bodies. These spirits are invited by the practitioner who believes that they are benevolent spirits, when in fact they are malevolent demonic spirits. All ayahuasqueros recognize demons, and will usually tell people point blank that they exist and are used by the shaman in his sorcery.

These demons harbor inside the Aya practitioner and spiritually attack those around him or her – especially Christians.

Christians are constantly under demonic attack and only God can keep Christians shielded from those attacks.

What you need to do right now is to get deliverance from demonic attack. Ask your pastor if he knows someone who is in deliverance ministry (he may be hard to find). You need a deliverance minister to bind the evil spirits and to send them to the pit.

You should also do deliverances on yourself. Briefly, here are the steps to take:

1) In prayer renounce all connections and involvement with the occult, the New Age and so forth, and any other sins you think may be the cause of these demonic attacks.

2) Claim the blood of Jesus. Command the demons in Jesus’s name to tell you the name of their leader. Take authority in Christ. Pay attention to what comes to you. Their names are often the problems they are trying to cause like “hate,” “discord,” “arguments” and the like. Sometimes they’ll give you names like “Jezebel” or “Legion.”

3) Using the demon’s name command the leader and all subservient demons to be bound together and cast out in Jesus’s name. (When sins are renounced, and your faith is in Christ, demons no longer have a legal claim to you and must leave when commanded – they can be stubborn though).

4) Repeat this process as often as necessary. Pray regularly, read the scriptures and do your best not to sin. Sometimes fasting will be required.

Get yourself protected and pray for all those involved (your son and ex-husband) in Jesus’s name.

I suggest you learn more about deliverances. You can start by watching Derek Price and Frank Hammond videos on YouTube:

Read books on deliverance too. “Pigs in the Parlor,” “The Bondage Breaker” and “Spiritual Warfare” are excellent books on the subject.

Sometimes deliverance happens immediately. Sometimes it takes a while. Don’t give up.

Yours in Christ,

Thomas Carroll
